If a siren sounds outside a pre-announced test, immediately enter the nearest building, move away from windows and then seek official information. Ole valmis! is an optional English-language preparedness app with crisis, first-aid, fire, water, outage and security guidance. It can also receive official app alerts when notifications and data are enabled, but official tests have exposed occasional delivery delays, so it is a supplement rather than a substitute for SMS and official sources. It is most worthwhile for hikers, road trips, remote stays or a longer visit. Download and open it before travel if relying on its guidance. Near the Russian border or Narva River, stay on marked routes and obey local restrictions. Check the official border status shortly before any crossing because operating hours, vehicle access and entry rules can change.
