Peru's delivery market has three useful names, but they do not have the same footprint. PedidosYa and Rappi are the broad starting points; DiDi Food is a Lima option, not evidence of nationwide coverage.
Open PedidosYa first and compare Rappi for a different restaurant, grocery or pharmacy set. In Lima, add DiDi Food to the price check. Outside the capital, do not install it on the strength of a national brand. Set the precise entrance and district, add a landmark, keep Spanish contact available and never move payment to a courier's personal account.

Not available here Uber Eats ended its Peru consumer-delivery operation in May 2020. The current visitor alternatives are PedidosYa, Rappi and, in Lima, DiDi Food.
PedidosYa and Rappi are the two sensible broad searches. PedidosYa's Peru terms describe a marketplace spanning restaurants and other businesses, while Rappi presents restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies and shops. Neither operator publishes a stable neighborhood-level national coverage map, so the current address and open merchant list carry more weight than a generic claim of availability.12
As of August 2026, DiDi Food's Peru consumer site links to a dedicated Lima restaurant page and does not document a comparable list of Peruvian cities. That supports recommending it as a third Lima comparison, not as a national fallback. Recent local discussions also identify PedidosYa, Rappi and DiDi as the active set and note that Uber Eats has not returned to Peru.346
Write the district as well as the street and number, then place the pin at the entrance a motorcycle can reach. Add the hotel or condominium name, reception instruction and one visible landmark. A large property may have a service gate far from its postal point. Ask the doorman or front desk whether couriers wait outside before the order leaves the restaurant.6
Keep the registered phone live and expect courier calls or chat in Spanish. A short message with the building and entrance is enough. If a substitution matters, answer inside the app so the record remains attached to the order. Do not share a broad access code, passport image or any card verification number to solve a delivery problem.1
DiDi Food says card can be selected when cash is unavailable. PedidosYa and Rappi show methods during the live checkout. An international card may work, but one traveler report isn't a guarantee for every issuer. Carry another card and use cash only when the order itself offers it. Never send a separate bank transfer after a courier changes the payment story in chat.35
Photograph missing, incorrect or damaged items before opening a support claim. Save the basket, receipt, delivery photo and chat until the refund is final. If the order shows paid, do not pay again at the door. A clean evidence trail gives platform support and the card issuer something concrete to review.1
Compare the amount payable after item markup, delivery, service, small-order charges and tip. Promotions can reverse the order of the apps from one hour to the next. For an expensive meal, compare the restaurant's own menu or collection price before paying a platform premium.24
For a serious allergy, call the restaurant in a shared language and ask about the ingredient and cross-contact. For medicine, confirm the active ingredient and dose with a licensed pharmacist. Search filters, translated menu notes and courier chat cannot verify kitchen practice or substitute for professional advice.2
If the apps do not serve the address, call or message a restaurant through its verified listing, ask the accommodation to order, or arrange pickup. Confirm the total and payment method first. At an isolated lodge or an early-departure base, secure food before evening transport becomes scarce.6
The practical shortlist is PedidosYa, Rappi and, in Lima, DiDi Food. Let the exact address results decide; Uber Eats is absent from the current market.
Try a small order before relying on the card for an important meal, and keep another card or cash option ready. Saving a card to the profile does not guarantee that the payment will be approved.
