What to know about Ride Hailing in Peru

Uber, DiDi and inDrive are the practical leading group in Lima, but no recent audited national trip-share table identifies one overwhelming winner. All three cover Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Trujillo and several additional cities. Cabify remains useful in Lima and selected large markets, while Yango is a lower-ranked alternative in Lima. inDrive is usually the cheapest because riders and drivers negotiate the fare. UberGo was priced up to 10 percent below UberX when expanded in Lima in May 2023, and the lower-cost product remains the useful Uber comparison where displayed. DiDi is often cheaper than UberX as of mid-2026, but promotions and traffic prevent a stable national percentage. Uber and DiDi support English, foreign numbers and international Visa or Mastercard cards without Peruvian ID or a local bank account. inDrive supports English, but cash is the safest visitor method. Cabify and Yango accept cards where shown, with cash availability varying by product. Jorge Chávez International Airport to Miraflores commonly costs about PEN 45 to PEN 80 before surge and toll effects as of mid-2026. Official airport taxis can cost more. Pickup instructions may direct app riders to a specific area. Lyft does not operate. App coverage is sparse outside the listed cities and tourist corridors, where hotel transport or a licensed local taxi is more dependable.
