Wolt’s current Denmark directory lists more than 70 service areas. It includes Copenhagen, Aarhus, Aalborg and Odense, but also places such as Aabenraa, Nykøbing Mors, Ribe, Skjern, Thisted and Vordingborg. Some entries combine neighbouring municipalities into one delivery market.2

A city appearing in the directory doesn't guarantee that every address inside or around it is served. Enter the street address first, especially at a holiday park, coastal rental or suburb near the edge of a combined area. The live restaurant list is more useful than the city label alone.2 4

Copenhagen and Aarhus have 24-hour Wolt platform hours

Wolt’s Danish operating schedule, checked in August 2026, lists Copenhagen and Aarhus as open for ordering 24 hours a day. That describes the platform window. It doesn't keep every restaurant open, and a merchant can pause or disappear for the delivery address.3

Aalborg and Odense have published Wolt hours from 06:30 until 02:00 on most nights and 04:00 on Friday and Saturday. Smaller markets often close around 22:00 or 23:00. Check before the kitchen closes, not when the platform window ends.3

Uber Eats launched in Copenhagen on 14 April 2026 with about 500 restaurants announced at opening, followed by Aarhus and Odense later that month. Just Eat ended Danish operations on 30 April 2026. The company also announced a marketing agreement with Uber Eats during the transition. That history explains the new competitor, but a former Just Eat restaurant may not appear at the same address in Uber Eats.9

Wolt Denmark takes online payment, not cash at the door

Wolt’s Danish terms require a valid credit card or another payment method offered inside the service. Payment is completed online, and Wolt may place an authorisation hold when the order is submitted. There is no standard cash-on-delivery option.4

For groceries sold by weight, Wolt may hold up to 20% of the value of those weighted items until the shop records the actual amount. The hold is temporary and differs from the final price. Wolt also warns that currency conversion can cause small differences when the payment method requires foreign exchange.4

Five minutes and two calls can decide a missed Wolt handoff

Wolt requires the customer to be present at the confirmed location. If no one is available within five minutes of arrival and two contact attempts go unanswered, the courier may leave an eligible order at the door or the order may be cancelled at full charge.4

Add the floor, door label and entry instructions before paying. At a Copenhagen courtyard, an Aarhus apartment or a hotel, ask whether the courier can enter. Keep the phone number on the account active until the food is in hand.4

A Danish food order becomes binding quickly

Wolt’s terms say an order cannot normally be withdrawn after it is placed. Food is also one of the perishable categories excluded from the general return right. Review the address, restaurant, items and delivery time before the final tap.4

The restaurant is responsible for product and allergen information. Wolt says a customer needing more detail should contact the partner, or ask support to do so. A free-text delivery note can't safely replace confirmation from the kitchen.4

If Wolt and Uber Eats show no delivery, ask the accommodation for a nearby restaurant that takes direct orders. Confirm collection or delivery, the price in DKK and the accepted payment method before ordering.2 5
