Dantaxi is Denmark's largest taxi network and the broadest app option outside the capital. When Uber acquired Dantaxi on May 28, 2025, the operator reported about 1,900 Dantaxi cars and access to about 3,500 professional drivers across 75 of Denmark's 98 municipalities as of May 2025. Uber therefore works, but only as a dispatch channel for licensed taxis rather than private cars. Dantaxi and Uber use regulated taxi structures, so neither is reliably cheaper on every trip. Uber's original private-driver service stopped in 2017 after Danish taxi-law changes, then returned through Dantaxi. Bolt does not operate car rides in Denmark as of July 2026.
