The most important pre-arrival digital task is a website, not an app. Every foreign and Dominican passenger entering or leaving on a commercial flight must complete the free official e-ticket. It combines migration, customs, and boarding or disembarkation information. Complete both directions before reaching the airline counter, save the QR codes and application code offline, and use only the official government portal linked by Migration or the Ministry of Tourism. Paid lookalike services are unnecessary. One form can cover a family group of up to seven people in total, and the accommodation's full province, municipality, sector, and address may be needed. Commercial-flight rules differ from private flights, ferries, cruises, and non-commercial vessels, so follow the official instructions for the actual mode of arrival. Visa, return-ticket, passport-validity, and yellow-fever-certificate rules depend on nationality and travel history. A temporary passport-validity exception for specified nationalities ends on 31 December 2026 unless extended, so do not turn it into permanent advice. The tourist card and departure tax are generally included in an air ticket, but verify the fare and itinerary. Book excursions with a licensed, insured operator, confirm cancellation and weather terms, and check whether the activity is covered by insurance. Official advice warns that adventure and water-sport providers may not meet home-country standards. Save booking confirmations, insurance, airline contacts, and e-ticket QR codes offline.
