Zomato and Swiggy form India's overwhelming restaurant-delivery duopoly. Datum Intelligence estimated Zomato at 57 percent and Swiggy at 43 percent of food-delivery gross order value on October 30, 2025. Both cover Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and hundreds of other cities. Zomato and Swiggy accept English, foreign numbers, international Visa and Mastercard cards and cash on eligible orders, though Indian OTPs and issuer verification can fail. magicpin, EatSure and Ownly are easier with an Indian number, UPI or cash. No local ID is required. Compare the final basket because platform, delivery, packing and surge charges vary. Uber Eats sold to Zomato in January 2020. foodpanda India stopped restaurant delivery by 2019. Outside cities, delivery ends by pin code rather than state.
