Transit Apps in Indonesia

Indonesia has no single nationwide urban transit app. The specialist downloads below are for Jakarta and Greater Jakarta, so install only those that match the itinerary. TJ:Transjakarta is the official bus app for routes, stops, arrivals and live vehicle information. MyMRTJ covers the Jakarta MRT and can sell tickets, including eligible Mastercard payments, but its current iOS rating shows persistent reliability complaints. C-Access is the official KAI Commuter app for Commuter Line schedules, train positions, fares, airport rail and QR ticket features across Greater Jakarta plus the Yogyakarta and Solo network. Registration or OTP problems can make any of these less useful to a short-stay visitor. Physical stored-value cards such as e-money, Flazz, Brizzi, TapCash, JakLingko or a KAI commuter card remain practical where accepted. Buy or top up a suitable card at a station or participating shop, ask staff which networks it covers and use one card per passenger when separate tap-in and tap-out records are required. Do not assume one card or app covers Transjakarta, MRT, LRT, Commuter Line and every airport train. Google Maps helps plan transfers but does not replace live disruption information or the payment medium. Jakarta stations can be crowded at peaks, and transfers that look adjacent can require a walk, security check or another fare gate. Keep the destination name in Bahasa Indonesia, follow platform signs and ask uniformed staff when the route or direction is unclear.
