Public transportation apps, curated for travelers visiting Jordan.
Vision City Bus is the only urban-transit app that belongs on a focused Jordan list. It is the current iOS name for the Amman Bus product, while Google Play still uses the Amman Bus name for the same package. The app plans routes, shows stops and expected arrivals, displays fares, manages the prepaid card and can sell a one-time QR ticket. Official 2026 reporting describes a network of 73 Amman routes with electronic fares and GPS, and the Amman Bus website covers the city bus and Bus Rapid Transit system. This is not a Jordan-wide transit planner. It does not comprehensively cover the informal private minibuses and shared services travelers encounter, and recent users report that some displayed times or vehicles can be inaccurate. Inspect the route details and live vehicle position rather than trusting a countdown alone. Ask station staff or the accommodation which stop, direction and fare medium apply, particularly for the last journey of the day. Carry small Jordanian-dinar notes and keep enough balance or a physical fallback even when the app offers card or QR payment. Allow extra time for a rail, bus or airport connection. JETT does not belong in this city-transit category and has been moved to intercity transport. For a route that the official city network does not clearly serve, use a licensed ride app or known taxi rather than boarding an unmarked vehicle based only on a stranger's directions.
Amman's official bus app for routes, stops, expected arrivals, fares, prepaid cards and QR tickets.
