Get around with local ride-hailing apps, curated for travelers visiting Oman.
Uber does NOT operate in Oman. OTaxi is the primary ride-hailing app, comparable to Uber, with airport pickup and dropoff services. OmanTaxi is the official government-authorized taxi company app offering private, sharing, and female-only taxi options (Sayidati). Yango operates with competitive pricing and smart routing. The government has licensed 8 on-demand taxi apps: OTaxi, Tasleem, Ubar, Marhaba, TM DONE, Hala Taxi, Tanweel, and Sayidati.
Oman's official government-regulated taxi app. It replaced the old unmetered taxi system and is now the go-to option for getting around Muscat. Drivers are licensed and fares are transparent.
Available in Muscat with decent coverage in the city center and around the airport. A familiar interface for travelers coming from other Gulf countries.
