Reputable transport is particularly important because official advice reports armed robbery, express kidnaps involving unlicensed taxis, and theft around tourist areas. Avoid boda bodas, bajajis, and poorly maintained local vehicles when safety matters. Bolt is a useful booking and identity layer, not a guarantee of vehicle condition, driver conduct, or availability.
