Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport describes Yandex and inDrive as mobile dispatch services that may connect passengers with official taxi carriers under the country's road-transport rules. This is why the driver, vehicle and trip record matter. An app logo cannot legitimize a different car or an off-record replacement.1
Before getting in, match the plate, make and driver to the active booking. Don't move the destination or payment outside the app. If a driver requests a different vehicle, cancellation or private payment before pickup, end that booking and request another one.
inDrive offers city-to-city rides with a directly agreed price and driver choice. Confirm the complete route, luggage, stops, vehicle and payment before accepting. A cheap offer that omits a remote final address or planned stop remains incomplete.5
For a flight connection, winter road or remote destination, compare an intercity app offer with a scheduled train, official transfer or hotel-arranged car. Save the driver's details and destination offline, carry water and keep enough payment reserve to change plans. City supply does not guarantee a return car outside the main market.3
If all apps fail, use Astana airport's Taxi Point, ask the hotel to arrange an official taxi or use a staffed airport or station taxi channel.
