Google Maps is the best general-purpose map for a visitor, particularly for Kigali, saved places, live traffic, accommodation pins, and monitoring a ride route. Save Kigali International Airport, the exact accommodation gate, Nyabugogo bus park, hospitals, the embassy or consulate relevant to you, and every park reception point before departure. Download the Rwanda offline area while connected to reliable Wi-Fi. Offline maps retain basic driving navigation and saved places but not live traffic, current closures, or dependable transit departures. Kigali addresses often depend on road codes, gates, property names, and landmarks, so ask a host for both a dropped pin and a written description. Send the pin through the ride app rather than relying on a neighborhood name alone. A route that looks short can be slow because of hills, traffic, rain, road works, or an event closure. Outside Kigali, main roads are generally mapped, but small access roads and park approaches can be incomplete or unsuitable for an ordinary vehicle.
