Use Srbijavoz for official domestic train searches and card purchases. Its current app supports Serbian Cyrillic, Serbian Latin and English, can buy up to five passengers at once and received an August 2026 update enabling some Montenegro international-ticket purchases. Still check official disruption notices separately because the app may sell or display a service affected by operational changes. Rail geography is especially important in 2026: Belgrade Centre is commonly called Prokop, Belgrade's main bus station moved to New Belgrade in 2024, and Novi Sad rail searches may require Petrovaradin while Novi Sad station remains affected by closure. Search the actual station name, not only the city. The Belgrade to Novi Sad and Subotica corridor is the strongest rail option, but frequencies, stopping patterns and station access can change. Rail toward Niš remains much slower and engineering work can produce replacement transport. Polazak is the most useful broad timetable comparison for Serbian buses and some rail, but it is not the operator and not every result is sold online. For departures from BAS, an online bus ticket may need to be printed at a station machine before platform access; follow the purchase instructions rather than assuming a phone PDF is sufficient. International and regional bus luggage or platform fees may be collected separately in cash. Leave a generous buffer for border crossings and never build a flight connection around the scheduled minimum arrival.
