Serbia is not an Uber market with a perfect local substitute. Belgrade has several useful booking routes, but the safest airport answer is still a paper price confirmation from an official kiosk.
Use Yandex Go as the first city comparison, CAR:GO as a Belgrade-only second quote and Naxis when you want a direct licensed-taxi dispatcher. At Belgrade Airport, ignore every verbal offer until you have the official zone voucher.

Yandex describes itself as an information service whose transport is supplied by partner carriers. In Belgrade that can include an established taxi fleet such as Pink. Match the assigned company, car and plate rather than assuming every vehicle follows one global service model.45
The app shows an estimate, but Yandex says it can change with service class, multipliers, a destination change, extra stops or other listed conditions. Read the live request screen. Keep a screenshot. The first figure isn't automatically a fixed cap.5
Yandex's Pink page shows a live tariff profile, but it also says partner-fleet rates can differ and that multipliers, paid vehicle arrival, stops and destination changes can alter the estimate. Read the active request screen instead of carrying one quoted kilometre rate from an article into every ride.5
Naxis currently publishes a RSD320 start, RSD105 per km on its first tariff, RSD135 on its second and RSD210 on its third, plus RSD1,800 per hour of waiting. The categories distinguish ordinary daytime, night or holiday and out-of-city travel. Confirm the meter tariff before moving. Need a card? Request a card-capable car at dispatch.7
CAR:GO currently presents itself as a Belgrade-focused ride platform with licensed local drivers, a pre-ride estimate, cash or card selection, tracking and 24/7 support. It is a useful second quote, not evidence of coverage across Serbia.6
Naxis is a direct licensed-taxi alternative in Belgrade. Use it when you would rather book a known association than wait for an app marketplace match. Ask for a card-capable vehicle before dispatch and keep dinars for a failed terminal.7
The airport publishes four e-kiosks for fixed zone-price confirmations: three in baggage claim and one in the passenger lounge. Get the voucher first. Then approach the designated arrivals rank and take the first taxi in the queue.1
One confirmation covers up to 4 passengers plus luggage that fits in the boot, and the driver must charge the printed amount. Ignore arrivals-hall solicitors and do not exchange the voucher for a separate verbal price.1810
Local reporting and traveler warnings identify unlicensed or inflated-fare approaches around transport hubs. For a street taxi, look for normal company markings and the required TX plate suffix, or order through a known dispatcher. Do not follow anyone who pulls you away from the official queue.310
Yandex and CAR:GO's usefulness in central Belgrade does not create dependable rural supply. For Novi Sad, a village, a late border arrival or a dawn departure, ask the accommodation or a reputable local company to confirm the pickup point, vehicle, total fare basis and payment method.89
Use the official taxi rank, call a known licensed association or ask the accommodation to place and confirm the booking. Belgrade's integrated regular public transport has been free for all passengers since January 2025, so a bus, tram or BG:Voz trip can also be the cleaner fallback when no app car appears.2
Neither is the ordinary Serbian option. Belgrade visitors normally use a local taxi dispatcher or a platform such as Yandex Go or CAR:GO, then arrange a local operator outside the capital when needed.
It may work, but registration, authorization and the driver's payment setup can still fail. Add the card before a time-sensitive journey and carry enough Serbian dinars for a legitimate alternative.
