In Bratislava and the surrounding IDS BK region, the official IDS BK app is the dependable visitor tool for journey planning and discounted electronic tickets, including time passes. Buy before boarding and follow the activation and validity shown in the app. Bratislava also supports TAPni sa open-loop contactless travel on marked green doors, with daily fare capping, but card tapping does not replace every regional product or special service. Cestovné poriadky CP is the strongest nationwide timetable app for trains, regional buses and many city systems, with current delay, platform and disruption data where operators supply it.
It is a planner, not one universal Slovak ticket wallet. Ubian adds nationwide planning, selected live vehicle positions and local ticketing. In Košice it can buy a mobile public-transport ticket, but registration and Ubian credit are required and validity starts one minute after purchase. Cyril, the government-backed national integrated-ticket platform, entered controlled commercial operation in July 2026 and supports English, cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
It is promising but not yet a core recommendation: current reviews report missing stops, incomplete ticket products and reservation or class problems. Use it only when it clearly offers the required journey, inspect every ticket before payment and retain the established operator app or ticket office as a fallback.
