What to know about Food Delivery in Colombia

Rappi is the national default and the only service most visitors need to install first. Its June 2026 promotion terms list operation in 40 Colombian cities, including Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Pereira, Manizales, Santa Marta, Armenia, Ibagué, Villavicencio, Montería, Valledupar and Pasto. DiDi Food is the important price comparison in Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena and selected additional cities. Rappi has the larger restaurant and convenience network, while DiDi Food is usually cheaper during new-user and restaurant promotions as of mid-2026. Neither operator publishes a current audited national order-share percentage. Foreign phone numbers can work, and no Colombian ID or bank account is required for an ordinary customer account. Rappi and DiDi Food offer English or partially localized interfaces. International Visa and Mastercard cards usually work, but Colombian card verification and fraud checks can reject some overseas cards. Cash appears for eligible addresses and is a useful fallback. Delivery commonly costs about COP 3,000 to COP 9,000 before service, small-order and weather charges as of mid-2026. Rappi Prime can change the comparison for repeated orders. Uber Eats is unavailable because it ended service on November 22, 2020. iFood is also obsolete after ending Colombian operations on November 21, 2022. DoorDash and Deliveroo do not operate consumer food-delivery networks in Colombia.
