Install the official app for the city where it solves ticketing. In Zagreb, Moj ZET plans routes and sells digital tram and bus tickets in Croatian and English. Buy and activate the correct product before travel and keep a paper-ticket or machine fallback. The app has received credible reports of failed access or payment when used from foreign mobile networks, so do not rely on it as the only way to board.
In Split, Promet Split sells single tickets, plans journeys and shows buses, but a prepurchased ticket cannot be used offline and recent store reviews report slow loading, route errors and QR scanning failures. Buy while connected, confirm activation and know the onboard or sales-point alternative. In Rijeka, RCC Mobility launched digital Autotrolej tickets on April 1, 2026 and accepts payment cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Tickets must be activated before or when boarding, and short-duration products have deadlines for activation after purchase.
Dubrovnik's Libertas app offers schedules and vehicle positions but does not sell city tickets and has persistently poor store ratings and unreliable live-data reports, so it is not worth presenting as a must-have install. Use the operator timetable, Google Maps and ticket points instead. Always check whether the route is city or suburban, validate as required and keep the ticket screen available for inspection. Generic route apps do not settle ticket validity or fare-zone rules.
