Bolt and Yandex Go are the two overwhelmingly used ride apps. Bolt has the clearest visitor experience and covers Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Gori, Poti, Telavi, Zugdidi, Bakuriani and the Gudauri and Stepantsminda area as of mid-2026. Yandex Go is often the cheaper of the two and has strong supply in Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi, while Maxim is another low-cost backup in larger cities. All three show an upfront estimate, support English and can register a foreign number without Georgian ID or a local bank account. Bolt and Yandex Go accept cash and generally accept foreign Visa and Mastercard cards, although issuer or local-processing failures make cash an important fallback. Maxim is more cash-oriented. Drivers sometimes call to confirm a location, so messaging the landmark in the app is easier than relying on spoken English. Tbilisi International Airport has app coverage, but arrivals-hall taxi solicitations can quote much more than an app. Bolt is usually the most predictable airport choice, while Yandex Go or Maxim can be cheaper when cars are nearby. Dynamic pricing means no app is permanently cheapest. Uber is absent because its regional operations were combined with Yandex, and travelers should install Bolt or Yandex Go instead. Coverage outside the named cities and resort corridors is weak. For remote mountain routes, apps may show a pickup but fail to find a driver, so arrange a guesthouse transfer or negotiate a return trip in advance.
