foodora publishes hundreds of Hungarian city landing pages, from major cities to Balaton resorts and small towns. Wolt listed 66 service entries when checked, but that total includes Budapest Park, festival sites and named agglomeration zones as well as cities. These lists do not promise service to every postcode.26
Enter the complete destination before choosing a restaurant. A venue visible on a city landing page may disappear after the app calculates the distance, delivery boundary and available courier supply for your building.27
Hungary's former foodpanda service became foodora on 1 May 2023. The operator kept existing logins, saved details and core functions through the name change. An old guide telling you to install foodpanda is referring to the same service under its previous name, not a separate current competitor.3
Magyar Posta's official address pattern includes the street and house number, then building, stairway, floor and door before the 4-digit postcode. The common abbreviations are ép. for building, lph. for stairway, em. for floor and ajtó for door. Copy those parts from the host's address instead of translating or rearranging them.1
Add the doorbell name or kapucsengő code, hotel name and a short entrance note separately. Put the pin on the doorway the rider can reach from the street. In a hotel, confirm whether reception accepts food and be ready to meet the courier in the lobby.
foodora's current promotion rules say the minimum order can differ by partner and change. They also list delivery, platform-use, tip, priority and other charges outside the basket value. Set the destination, build the basket and decide from the final payable total.5
Wolt can add a delivery fee, service fee and other surcharge, all disclosed before order placement. A minimum basket may require you either to add items or pay the difference. You'll get a useful comparison only after setting the same address and roughly matching the items.7
Wolt treats cash as an additional method when the order displays it and shows the applicable maximum in the service. Carry the exact forint amount because courier change is not guaranteed. Local SZÉP cards are a Hungarian employee benefit, so most visitors should ignore that option.7
Wolt requires a reachable phone. After 2 unanswered courier attempts, support tries to contact the customer; if there is still no contact within 10 minutes, the delivery may be cancelled without a refund. Keep roaming or local data active and watch for a Hungarian call near arrival.7
If neither app can serve the address, ask the hotel or host to identify a nearby restaurant with its own courier and place the order in Hungarian. Confirm the full price, payment method and lobby handoff before the restaurant starts preparing it. Keep the in-app receipt and order number for any order already paid online.47
There is no permanent national winner. Enter the accommodation in each available service and decide from the open merchants, payable basket and arrival estimate. For a regional stop, foodora has the broader public search list.

Ask the host to send one copy-ready local address rather than translating it. Check that the map marker lands at the street entrance, then add the name shown on the bell and a short clue for the correct doorway.
