No general booking or government app is required to enter Kazakhstan. Visa rules depend on nationality, purpose and length of stay, so use Kazakhstan's current eGov visa-regime page and the relevant embassy or consulate before paying a third party. Eligible applicants who need an electronic visa use the official Visa and Migration Portal and must follow the stated invitation and port-of-entry conditions. A hotel booking platform is not an immigration authority. The arrival-notification rule applies even to visa-free entry: the receiving party, such as a hotel, host or tour company, must notify migration authorities within three working days after arrival and after a change of residence. The traveler does not normally file the notice personally, but should confirm that the responsible party has done it and keep evidence. Ask every private host directly, especially after an overland arrival or when moving between private accommodation. Use only the official portal address because lookalike visa and registration sites can collect passport data and fees. Save the passport photo page, visa or entry record, accommodation address, host contact, insurance and onward booking offline, while protecting full document copies from casual sharing. Current official travel advice says police may request original identification, so check the applicable advice and carry it securely. Entry, border and closed-area rules can change, and overland crossings may close at short notice. Recheck shortly before departure and before a remote border-region itinerary.
