Use Yandex Go first in supported cities and keep inDrive for a second bid or lower-supply route. Register while your normal phone can receive a code and carry Kyrgyz som for card failures. At Manas, compare the app with the official fixed-price taxi; for mountains, arrange the vehicle and return separately.

Yandex Go shows the estimated route time and fare before booking and supports cash or card in Kyrgyzstan. Its documented network includes Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Karakol, Tokmok and Kara-Balta. The live pickup screen remains the final supply check.45
Set up the account before travel while the registered number can receive a verification message. Keep that SIM active or preserve access to it. Losing the account at the airport is harder to solve than changing a payment method.
Recent reports describe foreign Visa and Mastercard payments failing after earlier success, along with temporary authorizations that were slow to disappear. They do not establish a general rejection rule, so try the card but never depend on it as the only way out of the airport.78
Check the selected method before every request and carry small som notes. If a card fails, change the next booking to cash in the app. Don't accept a separate price invented after pickup merely because the digital method stopped working.
The official Manas Airport taxi page currently lists 1,000 som for a comfort car from the airport to central Bishkek, 1,200 som to the city's microdistricts and 1,200 som for a minivan to the centre. Use those published tariffs as a benchmark against the live app quote.2
Ignore unsolicited drivers in arrivals, match the app plate and use a staffed airport desk if the pickup cannot be completed safely. Recent reports describe confusion around airport taxis, which is a reason to compare written prices before walking outside.92
Kyrgyz authorities launched a simplified electronic mechanism for taxi licences and said unlicensed drivers would face enforcement from 1 July 2026. The official announcement does not support describing that date as another extension. The licence doesn't verify your app match. Compare the plate, driver and car before boarding.1
Keep the trip active, share the route and reject a request to cancel and continue privately. For inDrive, settle the whole fare in the recorded offer before acceptance. A low bid loses its value when it becomes a second negotiation beside the road.6
Kyrgyz transport rules distinguish urban taxi work from intercity travel beyond a 50 km radius. An app quote verifies none of the tyres, clearance, winter equipment, permits, border access or return from an empty trailhead. Treat it as a price, nothing more.3
For Song-Köl, Ala-Köl approaches, border regions or winter passes, use a reputable local operator or accommodation. Confirm the vehicle, route, luggage, weather threshold, waiting time and return in writing, then check road conditions again before departure.
Use the official Manas Airport taxi desk, ask the hotel to call a licensed taxi, or arrange a known local driver. Agree the total in som before moving. For mountain travel, choose the vehicle and return plan through a reputable operator rather than improvising an urban app ride.
