A city appearing in the app does not guarantee a nearby driver, especially late at night, outside the centre or for a return from a rural attraction. Uber is no longer limited to Vilnius. Its current Lithuania page lists Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys, but Bolt usually offers broader supply. eTAKSI is a well-established local taxi and private-ride dispatcher in those same five major cities.
It shows a preliminary fare rather than an unconditional final price and allows card or cash selection. Etransport is another legitimate local option with a much longer advertised town list, advance requests and categories such as minivan, child seat and pet-friendly rides, although a listed town does not prove that a car will be available at a particular time. Forus remains active and lets passengers propose a price through its Deal category, but its smaller supply and weaker recent user feedback make it a backup rather than a first download. At Vilnius Airport, use the designated Bolt pickup beside the intercity bus stops or the official taxi rank directly outside Arrivals.
Official airport taxis accept cash and cards and display approved tariffs inside; keep the receipt. For any app, confirm the exact pickup pin, plate, car and driver, review the payment method before ordering and do not cancel to pay privately. An advance request is not a guaranteed vehicle. Arrange a licensed taxi through the accommodation for a very early flight, a child seat, accessible transport or a rural return where failure would matter.
