Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda use separate systems, and Lithuania has no trams. In July 2026 the new official JUDU app replaced Vilnius m.Ticket and m.Parking, combining route planning, real-time bus and trolleybus information, tickets and parking in Lithuanian and English. It requires a JUDU account confirmed by email. For an occasional Vilnius rider, no app is necessary: tap one physical Visa or Mastercard, or one device in Apple Pay or Google Pay, at a validator to buy and activate one full-price 60-minute ticket.
As checked in August 2026, the current headline fare is €1.25. Use the same card or device for inspection. Trafi plans journeys in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Panevėžys and Šiauliai, but sells tickets only for Vilnius and requires a €5 minimum purchase, so do not expect to buy a ticket in the other four. In Kaunas, contactless payment buys one €1 journey to the route terminus with no transfer.
Žiogas offers cheaper electronic rides and transfer or monthly-cap features, but needs registration, online validation and at least a €2 top-up. In Klaipėda, contactless bank-card ticketing is available and e.Ticket Klaipėda sells QR and period tickets; a QR ticket must be scanned in the vehicle. A city ticket does not carry into another city's system. Validate exactly as instructed, keep the card or charged phone available for inspection and use the operator's current site for airport routes, disruptions and fares.
If the app or payment fails, use the city's stated physical or onboard fallback before riding.
