Get around with local ride-hailing apps, curated for travelers visiting Morocco.
Uber is the cleanest first choice where the app shows service because its Moroccan relaunch uses licensed transport vehicles and accepts the account and saved card many travelers already have. It began in Casablanca and Marrakesh in November 2025; July 2026 reporting added Rabat, Agadir, and Tangier. Uber's own Morocco city directory has not consistently reflected every announced city, so live availability at the pickup pin is the final test. inDrive reaches more cities, including important gaps such as Fez, and lets rider and driver agree a price. Its broader reach comes with a serious caveat: many offers can be from private vehicles outside the licensed taxi framework. British travel advice warns that app-booked vehicles may be unlicensed and passengers can be told to leave during police checks. Confirm the plate and driver, share the trip, and do not accept an off-app substitution. Taxi-rank and station pickups can attract conflict, so follow the app's meeting point or walk to a calm public location. Careem is a reasonable spare in larger cities but recent users report no-shows and requests to cancel. Bolt is verified only in Marrakesh. Carry cash even when a card is saved, never pay a surprise price outside the app, and use a hotel-arranged licensed transfer if a late-night pickup feels uncertain.
