Baemin is now the first delivery app to try. Its 2026 updates removed the old blanket barriers around English ordering, Korean phone verification and overseas payment.
Use Baemin's visitor flow first and paste the accommodation's Korean address before browsing. Keep Shuttle for its covered neighbourhoods if you prefer English support or Baemin cannot resolve the address. For a hotel order, assume a lobby handoff unless reception explicitly allows delivery upstairs.

Not available here Uber Eats left South Korea on October 14, 2019. Baemin now has the strongest visitor-ready local checkout, while Shuttle Delivery is a multilingual fallback in its covered cities.
Baemin added English, Japanese and Chinese ordering in February 2026. English now covers restaurant search, item selection, payment and real-time delivery progress on Android and iOS. This is a full food-ordering flow, although some merchant wording can still be imperfect.1
By late July, Baemin's guest route no longer required a domestic mobile. It accepted cards issued abroad, supported Chinese mobile payments and Apple Pay cards tied to non-Korean issuers. The Apple Pay expansion began on 2 June 2026. A guide that treats a Korean SIM and domestic card as universal requirements is now stale.23
Baemin's own global page promotes delivery to hotels, Airbnbs and Han River locations, along with restaurant pickup and convenience items. It doesn't publish a simple countrywide coverage list, so the Korean address remains the honest availability check.6
Shuttle's current directory names selected zones in Seoul, Pyeongtaek, Busan, Daegu, Gunsan and Changwon or Jinhae; its consumer site also names Osan. In Seoul, the listed clusters include Itaewon, Gangnam, Hongdae and Sinchon, Jung-gu and Jongno-gu, Konkuk University, Gongdeok and Sookmyung. Check the pin before studying the menu.78
Ask the hotel or host to send the full address in Korean and paste it into search. Shuttle's current setup guide recommends Korean search or GPS because romanised searches can fail, followed by the building and unit or hotel-room details. Keep the original Korean text rather than translating it back into English.9
A correct room number does not mean the rider can enter the lift. Ask reception whether outside food is accepted and where couriers stop. Put the hotel name and lobby in the note, keep notifications on and head downstairs before arrival if access is controlled.9
Baemin's published international options cover direct card entry, supported Chinese wallets and cards held in Apple Pay. Approval still depends on the issuer, wallet and fraud checks. If one method fails, try one alternative and keep the failure screen for support.23
Shuttle accepts international credit cards and PayPal. Its April 2026 guidance says a cancelled foreign-card payment can take 1 to 7 business days to return, depending on the bank. Do not place a duplicate order until the first order status is clear.794
The Korea Tourism Organization tells you to select the nearest baedal zone and meet the rider there. Its examples include addresses at Yeouido and Ttukseom. The pin should be the signed handoff point, not your picnic blanket.4
Seoul listed 6 existing delivery zones across Yeouido, Ttukseom and Mangwon in August 2026, plus 2 temporary nighttime zones at Yeouido and Ttukseom for that month's camping programme. Check the current city map because the temporary points should not be assumed after August.5
If neither app resolves the address, use Baemin pickup at a restaurant you can identify on the map, eat nearby or ask reception to call a restaurant that delivers directly. For an order already paid, use the in-app order record and support channel with screenshots. Never pay a second time through an unrecorded link sent in chat.69
