Turkey's delivery network is enormous and almost none of it is set up for you. Expect a phone number you have to verify, and no way to know in advance whether yours will do.
With a Turkish SIM, install Trendyol Go and Yemeksepeti and put your exact address into both, because coverage decides this street by street. Without one, expect the signup to fight you: give each app two minutes, and if none of them verifies, ask reception to order and settle up in cash.

How it works here Uber controls Trendyol Go, which is how Uber Eats operates in Turkey. Uber says an existing Uber account is available here, and Trendyol Go is also its own separate download carrying the restaurant network.
Uber and Yemeksepeti both say in their terms that they verify a phone number, and neither restricts it to a Turkish one. Getir does not publish its rule at all. What any of their signup screens will actually accept is the part nobody documents.1011
Recent reports are mixed. Several got through on Getir or Yemeksepeti after another app turned them down; others could not verify the same number anywhere. So there is no order of merit to give you. Give each app two minutes and move on rather than losing an evening to any one of them.1214
If none of them takes your number, that's the end of the road and not a setting you have missed. The dependable route from there is someone who holds a Turkish number, and settling that on arrival, rather than at 9pm on an empty stomach, is most of the battle.
The store listing reads Uber Eats Trendyol Go, which makes it look like the icon already on your phone. It is a separate download. Uber paid $700 million for 85 percent of Trendyol Go in 2025, reported a 92 percent controlling stake by 30 June 2026 and bought Getir's food-delivery business outright the next day. Getir remains a separate consumer download while the services are joined.1367
Uber's terms for Turkey do say your existing account is available here, and that Uber Eats orders can go through the Uber app. Permission to order and restaurants at your address are different questions, though, and nothing published answers the second one. If the icon is already on your phone, looking costs nothing. Install the two above regardless.10
A translated app shell does not guarantee a translated order. Restaurant-written dish names, portion sizes and notes can stay in Turkish, and some current reviews say screens ignore the English language advertised in the store. Test the first menu before investing time in signup.89
Published partner counts do not settle which app has more restaurants at your address. Both platforms use different definitions and report figures from different years. Put your address into both and compare what comes back.
Where the checkout offers it, choose cash before you finish the order rather than hoping to switch later. The option disappears on some baskets and some addresses.13
Then have small notes ready. A courier carrying a hot bag at the door is not a cash desk, and a large note can turn a two-minute handover into a negotiation.13
Travelers report couriers phoning rather than messaging, and usually only once they're already outside. If your Turkish stops at teşekkürler, that call is where the order goes wrong.14
Two things fix it. Get someone at the property to take the call if there is anyone to ask, and be at the entrance from the moment the app says the order has left. Apartment gates, side entrances and hotel back doors are where food goes cold.
None of these apps will bring you a drink. Turkish law bans retail alcohol sales between 22:00 and 06:00, and separately bans selling alcohol to consumers by post or remote order at any hour.42
Bars and restaurants are exempt from that curfew, so late in the evening you drink out rather than in. If you want something with dinner at the apartment, buy it from a licensed shop before ten and count it as a separate trip.5
Ask reception, if the place you're staying has one. Failing that, walk: the big city centres keep kitchens open late, though that thins out after midnight and away from the centre.
Probably not for that alone. A tourist SIM usually clears the SMS step, but it does not make your card work, and the front desk can place the same order for you. Buy the SIM for maps, messaging and taxis, and treat delivery as a bonus if it works.
Don't. Those numbers are shared and recycled, and this account will hold your delivery address and, if the card ever works, your payment details. A lost account is the least bad outcome.
Yes, especially for groceries. Getir's current store listing still includes meals, and Uber says consumers will continue using the Getir Super App. Restaurant-side systems are already moving toward Uber Eats Trendyol Go, however, so the food catalog may change while the two services are joined.
