Ireland has no single restaurant app that covers the whole market. OpenTable is useful for discovery and reservations, particularly in Dublin and other larger destinations, but many independent restaurants use their own site, ResDiary, email or phone instead. Search the restaurant's official website before concluding that no table exists, and book there when its cancellation and deposit terms are clearer. Reserve popular Dublin, Galway and Cork dinners, weekend meals and small destination restaurants as soon as the itinerary is firm. Reconfirm the date, local time, party size and branch, disclose allergies directly to the restaurant and keep the confirmation. Do not rely only on a note inside a marketplace profile for a serious allergy. If a card guarantee, deposit or cancellation charge applies, read the deadline in the restaurant's local time. Tipping is optional rather than a North American-style fixed requirement. For good table service, many diners round up or leave about ten percent, but check the bill first because groups or special menus may already include a service charge. A tip is not normally expected for each drink ordered at a pub counter. Ask if an unfamiliar charge is service before adding another tip. Contact the restaurant if delayed because a platform can mark a late arrival as a no-show even after staff agree to hold the table. For spontaneous meals, lunch and early-evening tables are often easier than peak dinner, but kitchen closing time can be earlier than the venue's final drinks service.
