Download Malta and Gozo before travel, save the exact accommodation entrance and preserve Maltese letters in place names. Offline maps do not retain live traffic, business or transit data. Dense historic streets, stepped lanes, fortifications, private courtyards and entrances on a different level can make a nearby pin misleading, so follow signs on the ground and check the pedestrian route. For buses, use Maps to understand the route and the Tallinja app or operator site for the latest stop and service information, but neither source reliably reflects every sudden diversion.
