Deliveroo stopped operating after 4 March 2026, making any recommendation of it obsolete. GrabFood is the easiest default if Grab is already installed for rides, while foodpanda is the useful price and restaurant comparison. Neither platform wins every order. Current local users report that Grab often has a broader selection and can combine certain discounts, while foodpanda may show lower delivery fees or different promotions.
Compare the final checkout total, including marked-up menu prices, service fees, small-order fees and delivery charges, rather than the headline voucher. Set the hotel's exact entrance or tower before browsing because restaurant availability and fees are address-specific. Add a room, lobby or landmark note, keep the phone reachable, and meet the rider at reception when the property restricts access. Both services can slow sharply during tropical downpours and meal peaks, and stacked orders can extend an optimistic estimate.
Do not place a duplicate order simply because the first rider is late. Use in-app support and switch to pickup or a nearby venue if timing matters. A foreign credit or debit card is more practical than trying to activate a Singapore wallet; GrabFood also officially lists cash on delivery, but payment options shown at checkout can vary. Keep a small cash fallback and never send a rider an OTP, card image or wallet PIN.
For hawker food, eating on site is usually faster, cheaper and better than delivery, and many celebrated stalls either do not deliver or appear through changing third-party listings.
