Food Delivery Apps in Slovenia

Wolt is effectively Slovenia's sole broad delivery platform after Glovo stopped operating on May 10, 2024. Slovenia's Competition Protection Agency found that restaurants were more or less forced toward Wolt after Glovo's withdrawal, which explains Wolt's unusually strong position. Wolt serves Ljubljana, Maribor, Celje, Kranj, Koper, Izola, Novo mesto, Ptuj, Domžale, Velenje, Nova Gorica and additional Slovenian localities as of July 2026. The app is available in English, accepts foreign mobile numbers and requires no Slovenian ID or bank account. International Visa and Mastercard cards and Apple Pay or Google Pay normally work. Cash is not the normal visitor method. With no comparable platform rival, relative price comparison means checking the restaurant directly. Ordering from a restaurant's own site or collecting can be cheaper because Wolt menu prices and service charges may exceed in-house prices. Delivery fees vary by distance and demand, and no stable nationwide typical fee was published. Wolt+ removes eligible delivery fees but not every service or small-order charge. Enter the exact building entrance and apartment details, especially in Ljubljana's larger residential blocks. Uber Eats, Glovo, foodpanda and Bolt Food are absent as of July 2026. Outside Wolt's listed cities, many restaurants do not provide app delivery. Glovo acquired the local Ehrana service in 2021, then withdrew from Slovenia in 2024, so neither old brand should remain in a current apps array.
