Spain's entry formalities are handled through official government and EU systems, not through a general travel app. Applicable non-EU short-stay travelers are now processed through the EU Entry/Exit System at the external border. ETIAS is scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2026, but it is not operational and not required as of 4 August 2026. Do not pay a website that claims to issue an ETIAS early. When it launches, use the official EU domain and recheck the transition and grace-period rules. Visa, passport-validity and supporting-document requirements depend on nationality and circumstances, so use the relevant Spanish consulate or official EU guidance. Save the accommodation address, onward travel, insurance and booking contacts offline. For hotels, attractions, ferries and tours, compare the supplier's official terms with any marketplace listing. A reseller may be convenient, but it can add restrictions and make changes slower. Verify tourist-apartment check-in requests through the booked platform or an independently published contact before uploading identity documents. Spain requires accommodation providers to collect guest details, but that does not make every emailed link or WhatsApp request genuine. Renfe, Alsa and airline bookings belong with their official transport services, not a generic booking-app list.
