Ride Hailing Apps in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Bosnia and Herzegovina has no Uber, Bolt or nationwide ride-hailing network. In Sarajevo, mojTaxi is the established licensed-taxi app and Vozzy is a newer booked-car platform launched on March 16, 2026. mojTaxi dispatches Sarajevo Taxi vehicles and supports in-app card payment only in specially marked cars. Its card-verification process charges and immediately returns BAM 0.05 as documented by the operator, with the amount current on its published instructions in July 2026. Foreign cards may work, but cash in convertible marks is essential because most taxis are not card-enabled. Vozzy shows a predefined price and route before confirmation and handles both city and longer-distance requests, but its fleet and visitor payment experience remain less established. Both apps are Sarajevo-focused. mojTaxi reduces the need to explain an address by phone, though its English interface is partial. A foreign number can register without Bosnian ID or a bank account, but SMS delivery and card verification vary. For Sarajevo Airport, a licensed rank taxi or accommodation transfer may be easier than waiting for an app car. mojTaxi is usually cheaper than an unmetered tourist solicitation because it sends a registered metered taxi. Vozzy can be cheaper or dearer depending on its fixed quote, so compare before confirming. In Mostar, Banja Luka, Tuzla and smaller towns, ask a hotel or restaurant to call a registered local company. App coverage is too fragmented to promise beyond Sarajevo.
