A traveler can browse routes without an account. To buy a ticket, sign in with email, phone, Google, Apple or Facebook, pay by card, open the purchased ticket and scan its QR code at the camera on the bus validator. Existing tickets remain available for validation offline, but buying a new one requires an internet connection.
Purchase before boarding when possible and keep the screen bright and phone charged. A physical transit card or a paper ticket from a staffed seller is a sensible fallback. Driver sales are not dependable; recent passengers report that paper stock can run out or no ticket is issued. Phone call ticketing through 185 is tied to supported North Macedonian mobile service and is not a universal tourist method.
Check the official app and JSP notices shortly before travel because diversions, shortened routes and service interruptions occur. The bus to Matka is part of the Skopje network, but regional fares and schedules can differ from urban trips; verify the selected ticket in the app or with JSP rather than relying on an old blog. One person should not assume a single activated mobile ticket covers a whole group. SkopjeBus is only for the capital network.
It does not book intercity buses to Ohrid, Bitola, Tetovo, neighboring countries or the airport shuttle. The airport shuttle is run separately by V2V Transporter.
