Intercity bus and train booking, curated for travelers visiting Portugal.
CP is the official first stop for Portuguese rail. Its app sells Alfa Pendular, Intercidades, Regional, InterRegional and Coimbra Urban tickets, plus some Porto Urban supplements, up to 60 days ahead and until 15 minutes before departure. Guest checkout is allowed with passenger details and a valid email address. Digital tickets are personal, so enter the name exactly as shown on the travel document and carry that identification. CP's limited Promo inventory can discount Alfa Pendular and Intercidades by up to 56 percent when bought 5 to 7 days ahead and up to 65 percent from 8 days ahead. A Promo ticket can be exchanged under the applicable conditions but is not refundable. Do not mistake the maximum discount for a guaranteed fare. Save the ticket offline and recheck the train and platform because engineering work can alter the trip. Rede Expressos is the most useful national coach comparison for places or times that rail does not serve well. It covers a large network of Portuguese towns and sells tickets in English through its app and website. Compare CP and Rede Expressos for the exact origin, destination, station location and total journey time, then book directly with the operating company. Third-party aggregators can be convenient for discovery, but they add another party to changes and refunds. Popular trains and coaches can sell out around summer weekends, holidays and major events, so reserve early. Do not plan an unprotected airport connection around the final train or bus of the day.
