The app is a useful interpreter and directory, not a substitute for an emergency call. Dial 112 for police and 119 for fire or ambulance. The 1330 Korea Travel Helpline provides non-emergency tourism help and interpretation from inside Korea, while callers from abroad use +82-2-1330. Save the accommodation's Korean address and the embassy contact separately, and keep them on paper or in an offline screenshot. In a medical emergency, show the Korean address and use Papago only as an initial aid until a human interpreter is available. Typhoons, heavy rain, heat, wildfire, earthquakes, security exercises and local missing-person notices can all generate alerts. Verify the location before changing plans, use official transport updates during disruption and never follow an evacuation instruction forwarded only through social media.
