Taiwan does not have one consumer restaurant app that every visitor needs. Google Maps is the practical starting point for discovery, recent reviews, opening hours and the restaurant's exact Chinese name. For reservations, many restaurants use an inline booking page linked from Google, Instagram or their own website. That is a web flow, not the merchant-facing inline app, and it often accepts a foreign country code. Other restaurants take bookings through LINE, Facebook, their website or by phone. EZTABLE is a real consumer app with English support, but its inventory leans toward hotel restaurants, buffets and higher-priced venues. It can also require account verification or prepayment, and recent store reviews report login and overseas-registration problems. Treat it as an optional specialist tool rather than the default restaurant finder. OpenTable has a Taiwan website but limited local inventory. Popular restaurants, holiday meals and weekend bookings can sell out, while night-market stalls and many casual eateries do not take reservations at all. Keep the booking confirmation and cancellation terms, especially when a deposit or set menu is charged. If a page rejects an overseas number, ask the hotel to call, message the restaurant through an official LINE account or visit outside peak time. Never install an app from a QR code unless its publisher and store listing match the restaurant or platform you intended to use.
